Weather Variables (IPCC AR5)

Weather variables (IPCC AR5)

A global dataset at 0.25° degrees resolution of 6 surface variables from 5 climate models under 2 Representative Concentration Pathways (RCPs) scenarios from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Fifth Assessment report (AR5). The time resolution is daily from 1951 to 2100.

The 6 essential surface variables are:
Temperature (daily mean, maximum and minimum)
Total precipitation
Wind speed
Solar radiation (Surface Downwelling Shortwave Radiation)

The 4 climate models are:
GFDL- ESM2M
IPSL-CM5A-LR
HadGEM2-ES and
MIROC5
17 other climate models are available on demand.

Those 4 climate models are the ones selected by the ISIMIP initiative

The 2 RCPs scenarios are:
RCP4.5
RCP8.5
